Joining technologies

We assemble tightly sealed devices, assemblies, and individual parts for common reprocessing procedures in medical technology – for use even in challenging mechanical, chemical, or thermal environments.

Take advantage of our know-how in joining technology as an important design element and in practical application in the assembly process. We are qualified in the use of UV-curing adhesives, which are used e.g. in dust-free lens mounting, and also in high-precision depositing and dosing of even the smallest quantities of sealants and adhesives. We also use thermosetting two-component adhesives, such as epoxy resin adhesives.

Material connections by various soldering and welding processes are essential in medical technology. Gold soldering and laser welding are used, among other things, for our camera modules. Here, the individual components are soldered and welded into the housing in a very confined space within the millimeter range. Other processes include ultrasonic welding of plastics or vulcanization, for example for elastomer seals.

In conductive connection technology, in addition to the classic soldering work, we also master the splicing and connection of shielded micro-coaxial cables, which are used e.g. in small cameras.

In every application of joining technologies, we pay attention to tightness, autoclavability and general chemical resistance. Our assemblies are therefore designed for autoclave cleaning and sterilization, STERRAD™ suitability, washing machine suitability and high-level disinfection.
